Scholarships & Tuition
Every University has its own scholarships, but the DVM program has three scholarships attached to it. The first one is the President's Scholarship which is rewarded to seven students that have an average of ninety percent or above and enrich the university. The second scholarship is the Chancellors' Scholarship which is given to one student who has shown incredible leadership skills at the university. The last scholarship is the Lincoln Alexander Scholarship which is given to a female and male recipient of academic distinction who are aboriginal, with a disability or are member of a racial minority; the award was created to enhance student diversity. In conclusion, each scholarship is worth thirty-two thousand dollars, and is spread throughout the time you are in the DVM program.
The DVM program costs twenty-thousand dollars per year and it is a four-five year program, therefore the cost would be eighty-thousand dollars give or take. However books, residence, meals and transportation must be taken into consideration. With all costs accounted for, the total approximate cost of this program could be around one-hundred thousand dollars. This is not including the two-year bachelors degree that is needed beforehand.
